Roger is a criminal hunted by Lestat in Memnoch the Devil, and Dora's father. After being killed by Lestat, Roger returns as a ghost to tell Lestat the story of his life, and to ask him to look after his daughter Dora, who he is estranged from. He collects the works of fictional medieval heretical poet Wynken de Wilde.
