The term "Revenant" is used coloquially among vampires generally to refer to an old, weak vampire who is animalistic or lives separately from human society. It is first used by Armand to describe the vampire Louis and Claudia encounter in Eastern Europe. The term doesn't have a fixed definition, and Lestat uses it occasionally to refer to vampires in general, or vampires weaker than himself, including Louis.
